Ladies Only Beach (Abu Dhabi)

Abu Dhabi Municipality announced that it will open the first ladies only beach in the city’s Al Bateen area later this year.
The initiative has been brought in after a survey carried out and more than 95 percent of the women preferred to have a ladies only beach, preferably at Al Bateen and the municipality is keen on providing every means of entertainment and environment suitable for various sports such as a football pitch and a volleyball playground.
The beach will have all female staff which will include four female lifeguards who will be assigned to work at the opening of the beach in case of emergencies. The rest of the beach will have female cleaning and organization personnel; men will not be given access to the premises.
There will be no restriction on the access to the beach. Post 6 pm there will be no swimming allowed.
The plan is to have :

26 food outlets
47 toilets
35 showers
52 changing rooms

The beach can easily accomodate more than 15000 people. The play area will have five volleyball areas, two football pitches, four children’s playgrounds and three general playing areas.
